Canon Extender RF 2x

The Extender RF 2x teleconverter is compatible with specific Canon RF-mount lenses, extending their focal lengths by 2x while retaining full communication between the lens and the camera body. This communication allows for metering, autofocus, image stabilization, and the transmission of Exif data. Additionally, the Extender RF is designed to be dust and water-resistant and features a heat shield exterior to ensure optimal performance in various environmental conditions.

Compatible Lenses:

1. RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM: The Extender RF 2x can be used with this lens within the 300-500mm range, providing additional telephoto reach for capturing distant subjects. When combined with the Extender RF 2x, the effective focal length range of the RF 100-500mm lens becomes 600-1000mm.
2. RF 600mm f/11 IS STM: When paired with the Extender RF 2x, the RF 600mm f/11 IS STM lens achieves an effective focal length of 1200mm (600mm x 2). This combination is suitable for capturing wildlife, sports, and distant subjects, offering an extended telephoto reach.
3. RF 800mm f/11 IS STM: Similar to the RF 600mm f/11 IS STM lens, the RF 800mm f/11 IS STM lens, when used with the Extender RF 2x, provides an effective focal length of 1600mm (800mm x 2). This combination offers an even more powerful telephoto capability for extreme telephoto photography.
