The Music app supports recording up to 10 input tracks, overdubbing, mixing, and enhancing recordings with EQ and compression. It also connects to Zoom’s Guitar Lab via USB for additional effects.

Field App:

Ideal for location sound, sound design, and conferences, the Field app provides large meters for every track, quick adjustment of key settings, and detailed control over recording parameters.

Zoom H8 8 Recorder Zoom Capsules Compatibility:

The H8 supports existing Zoom mic capsules, including shock-mounted X/Y, Mid-Side, and mono or stereo shotgun mic capsules. This provides flexibility in choosing and swapping capsules based on recording needs.

The front panel features ergonomic controls for easy operation, including transport buttons, record-arm buttons, large gain knobs, and pad switches. A hold switch prevents accidental button presses.

The H8 offers four XLR inputs, two XLR-1/4″ combo inputs, and a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input. It can accommodate condenser microphones, line-level sources, or instruments with active electronics.

Zoom H8 8 Recorder SD Card Recording and Audio Interface:

The H8 supports recording to SD cards (up to 512GB) and functions as a 12-in/2-out USB 2.0 audio interface (24-bit/96 kHz) with Mac, Windows, or iPad.

Zoom H8 8 Recorder 3.5mm Outputs:

The recorder features a 3.5mm line and headphone outputs for simultaneous connection to a camera/DSLR and headphones. It also includes a built-in monophonic speaker for quick playback.

Battery Options:

Power the H8 using four AA batteries for over 20 hours of continuous recording or use an optional AD-17 AC adapter for wall outlet power.
